Loja Melissa 新鞋款

LojaMelissa 這次找來了 Vivienne Westwood, Karim Rashid 等知名設計師設計的鞋款。不過像我這種汗腳就無緣啦~

Dutch design "400 years later"展。主要是下面的一則留言我覺得蠻有趣的:

"hihi haha dutch design. pff to me after the jokes wear off, the design is rather dull and unatractive...am I the only one that thinks so? the tricks demonstrated above :
-1 and 1 is a new product
-make something in a material that is not meant for that function and it will get its own character
-and make something in the shape of something else that has something to do with the subject..
so this has been the contribution of duch design to the world of design?
come on designers
this is 2009, not 1999 when these tricks were the hot topic applied..we want new shapes and forms..products...functions ..when were you last amazed when you saw a product..amazed and not just had to chuckle.."

某方面我也蠻同意他的講法，只是如果說這些完全對設計沒有貢獻可能也太苛刻了。那可是會打翻一船人的。這些有的沒有的嚐試，雖然當笑點麻痺後新鮮感不再，剩下的只是不怎麼美也沒什麼實際用途的物件(這些其實目前市場上很多)，或許也有值得鼓勵的地方? 也許它們某天會inspire某人設計出"new shapes and forms..products...functions"?

以上是做瑜珈的椅子，太陽能鳥屋，超柔軟的燈等等...

The Promise of This Moment

這個目前在Chicago展出的，名為"The Promise of This Moment"的展覽。終極目的是為人們平日無聊的生活，透過物件而變得比較有趣--"play, relief, beauty and delight"。那個大鵝帶小鵝的路障真的讓路障這不太討喜的東西變得可愛，這會讓我很開心的繞過牠們(讓路給這對鵝母子)還會忍不住多看幾眼。下面那個不確定實際用途為何(拍照用的嗎?用在同事上自己尋開心的嗎?)的透明棒棒，我會想要有那個禁止標誌的。不知為何就覺得會用得上!
